On 19 October 2026, at APAG Headquarters in Ha Noi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG), in collaboration with the Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG), held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Strong Nations for Asia Programme. Bringing together public-sector leaders and managers from across Asia, the Programme aims to strengthen strategic leadership capabilities, facilitate the exchange of governance experiences, and build a regional network of cooperation for effective, adaptive, and sustainable governance.
From October 15 to 16, 2026, the delegation of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance attended the 2026 International Symposium on Public Policy and Management (ISPPM 2026) at the City University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong, China). Within the framework of the symposium, the delegation attended the plenary session and presented 3 scientific papers at thematic parallel sessions.
On the morning of October 16, 2026, in Ha Noi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) held the closing ceremony of the 2025-2026 Modern and Effective National Governance Programme for Emerging Leaders (MENGPEL). The programme was implemented in collaboration with the Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG), Chandler Governance Group to strengthen leadership and management capacity, and application of international governance experience to Vietnamese practice.

On the afternoon of 8 October 2026, a delegation from the European Union (EU), led by Mr Stefaan Hermans, Director for Competitiveness, Talent Mobility and International Cooperation at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), visited Hanoi University for a working meeting to discuss the outcomes of cooperation and the implementation of Erasmus+ programmes, including mobility programmes for students, academic staff and administrative staff between Vietnamese and European higher education institutions

Developing Scholarly Journals in Public Administration and Public Governance in Line with International Citation Indexing Standards
On the afternoon of October 6, 2026, in the framework of the Annual International Forum on Public Governance 2026, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) hosted a thematic roundtable entitled “Developing academic journals in public administration and public governance to meet international citation-indexing standards.” The roundtable was co-chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of State Management (JSM), and Dr. Bevaola Kusumasari, Editor-in-Chief of Policy & Governance Review.
